The former Ravens linebacker visited Stephen A. Smith’s radio show Tuesday to discuss the NFL and Dez Bryant’s infamous near-catch, which spilled over into controversial calls over the years.

One of the more famous controversial calls is the tuck rule, which was made famous during the Patriots’ Super Bowl run in 2001 — it helped New England win a playoff game against Oakland. Most agreed it was a bad call, and the NFL decided so, as the rule has been modified. Lewis has a related a hot take on the matter.

“The only reason we know who Tom Brady is, because of a tuck rule! There’s no such thing as a tuck rule! If the ball is in your hand, and I knock it out your hand, whether it’s going backwards, forwards, lateral, sideways, however it’s coming out, that’s a freaking fumble! But guess what we created? We created a freaking tuck rule!”

Here are some other reasons we know who Brady is:

— Been to the Super Bowl five times

— Won the Super Bowl three times

— Is a 2x Super Bowl MVP

— Is a 2x NFL MVP

— Is a 3x AP First Team selection

— Is a 10x Pro Bowl selection

— Married to a supermodel

Perhaps Lewis is just bitter because Brady and the Patriots knocked out his former team in the divisional playoff round last weekend.
