Tampa Bay is coming off of one of the most surprising losses of the 2022 NFL season, falling to the Panthers just days after Carolina traded star running back Christian McCaffrey to signify a rebuild.
The Buccaneers failed to score a single touchdown, only posting a field goal in a 21-3 loss. Tom Brady and Tampa’s offense continued to struggle, throwing for zero TDs despite racking up 290 yards while completing 65.3 percent of his passes. It was the fourth time during his tenure with Tampa Bay that the future Hall of Famer did not throw a touchdown pass in a game.
The Buccaneers have now lost back-to-back games against two of the weaker teams in the league, also dropping a road game to the Steelers the week prior.
They’ll go up against a Ravens team that is coming off a close victory over their division rival Browns. Lamar Jackson only had 16 pass attempts, but Baltimore’s running game (surprisingly) led the way in the win. Backup running back Gus Edwards came off of the PUP list and made an immediate impact in the absence of J.K. Dobbins, rushing for 66 yards and two touchdowns in his 2022 debut.
