A third-year running back, Collins rushed for 973 yards in 15 games last season, his first with the Ravens.
This season has been a disappointment, though. Collins rushed for 411 yards in 10 games, and at 3.6 yards per carry - a full yard less than he did in 2017.
Dixon, in his second season, has not played since suffering a knee injury in Week 1.
The Ravens could be thin at running back on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. Rookie Gus Edwards, who rushed for more than 100 yards in each of the past two games, is listed as questionable with an ankle problem, even though he practiced on Friday.
